Individual Counselling with Vivian Timmins
Indigenous Wholistic Wellness Practitioner
You Deserve a Healing Space That Sees All of You
Life can feel heavy. Maybe you’re carrying grief that no one else seems to understand. Maybe anxiety follows you into every room. Maybe you’re navigating trauma, relationship struggles, identity questions, or the quiet weight of feeling disconnected from who you are.
You don’t have to walk through this alone.
As an Indigenous Wholistic Wellness Practitioner, Vivian Timmins offers individual counselling that honours your whole self — your mind, your emotions, your spirit, and your body. This isn’t about fitting you into a box. It’s about walking beside you on a path toward balance, healing, and wholeness, at your pace and in your way.
Whether you’re reconnecting with your culture, processing intergenerational experiences, or simply trying to feel like yourself again, this space is yours.
A Counselling Approach Rooted in Culture and Care
Vivian’s ancestral roots trace back to the O’Mushkegowuk territory on the western shores of James Bay, Ontario. As a member of Constance Lake First Nation and Eagle Clan, she brings lived experience, cultural knowledge, and formal clinical training to every session.
She holds a Master of Social Work in Indigenous Field Study from Wilfrid Laurier University and has spent years working as an emotional support worker, educator, and researcher in Indigenous mental health and community wellness. She is also a Survivor of the Residential School System, which gives her a deep, personal understanding of the intergenerational trauma that many Indigenous peoples carry.
Her approach weaves together:
Indigenous ways of knowing — including the Medicine Wheel, Seven Grandfather Teachings, and land-based healing perspectives
Clinical counselling frameworks — such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), narrative approaches, and trauma-informed care
Two-Eyed Seeing — honouring both Indigenous and Western knowledge systems as valid pathways to healing
This means you get the best of both worlds: a space where cultural identity is celebrated, not ignored, and where evidence-based tools support real, lasting change.

How It Works
🔹 Step 1: Reach Out
Connect by phone or email to share a little about what you’re looking for. There’s no pressure and no obligation — just a conversation to see if this feels like the right fit.
🔹 Step 2: Initial Conversation
Vivian will take time to understand your story, your goals, and what healing looks like for you. This is a chance to ask questions and get comfortable with the process.
🔹 Step 3: Ongoing Sessions
Individual sessions are typically 60 minutes and can be scheduled weekly, biweekly, or at a rhythm that works for you. Sessions may include talk therapy, cultural teachings, grounding practices, and practical tools you can use in daily life.
🔹 Step 4: Walking Forward Together
Healing is a journey, not a destination. Vivian will continue to walk beside you, adjusting the approach as your needs evolve, celebrating your progress, and offering steady support through the harder moments.
